EXAMPLE 10. THE EARTH NEIGHBOURS – THEIR MOVEMENTS SYNCHRONIZED WITH THE EARTH YEAR.
The Earth Neighbours are:- Venus, The Moon, and Mars.
The Earth year = 365.256 Earth days. Venus orbital period = 224.695 Earth days. Venus rotation period = 243.0187 Earth days. Earth rotation period = 0.9972697 Earth days. The Moon orbital period = 27.32166 Earth days. Mars rotation period = 1.02596 Earth days. Mars orbital period = 686.98 Earth days.
DURING ONE EARTH YEAR:-
(A). Venus rotates 1 rotation + a residual angle of 181.1 degrees.
(B). Venus revolves 1 revolution + a residual angle of 225.2 degrees.
(C). Earth rotates 366 rotations + a residual angle of 92.3 degrees.
(D). The Moon revolves 13 revolutions + a residual angle of 132.7 degrees.
(E). Mars rotates 356 rotations + a residual angle of 5.5 degrees.
(F). During FOUR Earth Years, Mars revolves 2 revolutions + a residual angle of 45.6 degrees.
Sample calculation – A:- 365.256 ÷ 243.0187 = 1.503 ie:- 1 rotation + a residual angle of (0.503 x 360) = 181.1 degrees.
Sample calculation – E:- (4 x 365.256) ÷ 686.980 = 2.1267 revolutions of Mars, ie:- 2 revolutions + (0.1267 x 360) = a residual angle of 45.6 degrees.
When you depict each of these six residual angles as a (single line) radius, the six radiuses look like this:-
The material on this web site is also available in the book Astronomy - The Dishonest Science, by Roger Elliott (available on Amazon).
Once again, it is glaringly, blindingly obvious that these residual angles are NOT randomly distributed, as they absolutely SHOULD be if Newtonian Physics alone governed the movements of celestial bodies. Once again, these residual angles all (mysteriously) “hug” the octants. “Something else” (other than Newtonian Physics) is influencing and dictating the movements of these celestial bodies.
The statistical odds against all three residual angles “hugging” the octants so closely is in excess of 1 chance in 240.
These odds are calculated in the following manner:-
The largest deviation from an octant is 5.5 degrees (Mars).
Number of trials = n = 6 and number of successful trials = r = 5 and the probability that any single specific trial will be successful = p = (5.5 x 2 x 8) ÷ 360 = 0.2444 and the probability that any single specific trial will be unsuccessful = 1 minus p = 0.75555
p(r ≥ 5) = 6C5 x 0.75551 x 0.24445 = 0.003956
+ 6C6 x 0.75550 x 0.24446 = 0.0002133
SUM = 0.004169 or 1 chance in 240. In fact, the odds are longer than this, because some of the deviations from an octant are smaller than 5.5 degrees.
To verify numerical data, go to Appendix 2. Section 3 for Earth Year, and all rotation and orbital periods. (Note:- Numerical data verification is only available in the book.)
