EXAMPLE 16. THE GIANT PLANETS AND THEIR SATELLITES – THEIR MOVEMENTS SYNCHRONIZED WITH EARTH’S ROTATION.
The Giant Planets – The INNERMOST satellites of The Giant Planets – and The INNERMOST LARGE Satellites of The Giant Planets all have their movements synchronized with Earth’s rotation.
In the following example, the name of each planet or satellite is immediately followed by its rotation period in brackets (expressed in Earth days).
There are Four Giant Planets. These are:- Jupiter (0.41354) and Saturn (0.44401) and Uranus (0.71833) and Neptune (0.671252)
The INNERMOST Satellites of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are – respectively – Jupiter’s Metis (0.294780) and Saturn’s Pan (0.57505) and Uranus’ Cordelia (0.3350331) and Neptune’s Naiad (0.294396)
The INNERMOST LARGE Satellites of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are – respectively – Jupiter’s Io (1.769137786) and Saturn’s Mimas (0.942421813) and Uranus’ Miranda (1.4134840) and Neptune’s Triton (5.8768441)
The OUTERMOST LARGE Satellites of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are – respectively – Jupiter’s Callisto (16.6890184) and Saturn’s Iapetus (79.3301825) and Uranus’ Oberon (13.4632423) and Neptune’s Triton (5.8768441)
(A). The SUM of the rotation periods of The Four Giant Planets = 2.24713 Earth days. During this time period, Earth rotates (in relation to The Sun) 2 rotations + a residual angle of 88.97 degrees.
(B). The SUM of the rotation periods of The INNERMOST Satellites of The Four Giant Planets = 1.49926 Earth days. During this time period, Earth rotates (in relation to The Sun) 1 rotation + a residual angle of 179.73 degrees.
(C). The SUM of the rotation periods of The INNERMOST LARGE Satellites of The Four Giant Planets = 10.00189 Earth days. During this time period, Earth rotates (in relation to The Sun) 10 rotations + a residual angle of 0.68 degrees.
(D). The SUM of the rotation periods of The OUTERMOST LARGE Satellites of The Four Giant Planets = 115.3593 Earth days. During this time period, Earth rotates (in relation to The Sun) 115 rotations + a residual angle of 129.3 degrees.
Sample calculation:- (C). 16.6890184 + 79.3301825 + 13.4632423 + 5.8768441 = 10.00189 Earth days, and 0.00189 x 360 = 0.68 degrees. That is 10 rotations of Earth (in relation to The Sun) + a residual angle of 0.68 degrees.
When you depict each of these four residual angles as a (single line) radius, the four radiuses look like this:-
The material on this web site is also available in the book Astronomy - The Dishonest Science, by Roger Elliott (available on Amazon).
Once again, it is glaringly, blindingly obvious that these residual angles are NOT randomly distributed, as they absolutely SHOULD be if Newtonian Physics alone governed the movements of celestial bodies. (The gravitational field of Earth is insufficiently strong to alter or affect the rotation periods of distant planets and satellites.) Once again, these residual angles all (mysteriously) “hug” the octants. “Something else” (other than Newtonian Physics) is influencing and dictating the movements of these celestial bodies.
The statistical odds against all four residual angles “hugging” the octants so closely is calculated in the following manner:- The largest “deviation” is 5.66 degrees (Outermost Large Satellites). In that case, the odds against chance occurrence are 1 chance in
1 ÷ [[(5.66 x 2 x 8) ÷ 360]4] = 249 (1 chance in 249).
To verify numerical data, go to Appendix 2. Section 2 for rotation periods of The Giant Planets. Section 5 for Jupiter’s innermost satellite. Section 6 for Saturn’s innermost satellite. Section 13 for Uranus’ innermost satellite. Section 7 for Neptune’s innermost satellite. Section 12 for all large satellites. (Note:- Numerical data verification is only available in the book.)
